Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head: Serial 7′s #3

Yup, it’s that time of the year again when the weather shifts and the long , hot summer days bid farewell. While I may not be a big fan of the rain, I do love the bed-weather it brings! I love how the nights are now cool and that snuggling in bed is such a pleasurable waste of time, although this kind of weather can trigger my asthma. Nonetheless, rainy days bring a whole lot of fond memories as well. Here’s naming a few:

  1. Cooking hot chocolate over the stove  using real chocolate tableas
  2. Playing in the rain with nothing but my undies :-)
  3. Curling up by the bay window with a good book and a steaming hot mug of coffee
  4. Free days when classes are suspended!!!
  5. Champorado with Tuyo or Tapa! (Chocolate Rice Porridge with Dried Fish or cured meat)
  6. Floating paper boats in the street
  7. Doing nothing at all!!!! :-)

Don’t ya love it!!! Since the rains are starting up again, of course some preparations are necessary so as early as now, I’m stocking up my car (as well as my home) with some lazy day goodies and essentials, such as quick snacks, flashlights, and extra clothes should I need it. I also threw in a couple of those promotional umbrellas from the bank and pharma companies to keep me dry as I shuttle back and forth from my jobs.

7 Bloggers (or groups) I want to thank

For my second Serial Sevens, I am listing 7 bloggers or blogger groups who I want to thank. They have helped me immensely in my journey through blogging and exploring my creative side. It is also through them that I have changed in so many ways. With no further ado, here they are:

  1. My blogger guru’s Mommy Rubz, Iris, Jen and Jeff, and Earth. They were the ones who taught me how to optimize my blog, get income generated and how to finally become a friend of the sheriff!
  2. Noemi, Chats and Cess, my POC editors. They have helped me fulfill my dream of becoming a writer. I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to hone my craft under such supportive and encouraging bosses :-)
  3. My  Movie Blogger partners (Jori, Flow, Earth, Ohms, Iris, Sire, Cathy, Cher, Lace, Az, to name a few) and our sponsors :-) Watching movies without you guys is not the same, I swear!
  4. My Blog Anniversary Sponsors for making my first anniversary contest a success.
  5. My new-found cousin (Cuz Sis as she likes to say) Ryan (a.k.a. Fedoran) for making my blog adventures even more fun.
  6. My first blogger friends and hosts, Az, Lace, Jonel, and Ed :-)
  7. My Plurk buddies for making my daily existence so much more fun. Thanks for listening to the rants about my you-know-what’s and you-know-who’s. Hehe.

Here’s to you my dear friends! I’d send you some wine and cigars (as are customary congratulatory gestures in some places) but since we’ve gone virtual, let’s settle for some cupcakes topped with chocolate wine and cao cigars!

Serial Sevens: 7 Things I Want to Change in Myself

Starting today, I am starting a little project for myself. I decided to call it “Serial Sevens”. This won’t be a formal meme, but I wouldn’t mind if you joined in and did your own Serial Sevens alongside with me.

Before I post my first Serial Sevens, let me give a brief background on what it is, what I want to accomplish and why I called it such. First off, I wanted to have something more personal in my blog that I post regularly, something that is different from my assignments, movie and product reviews. I want it to be about me. I also think that this is a good way for me to kick start my now defunct gratitude journal and silver lining project, both of which have taken a back seat for now. For this exercise, I will not force myself to come up with explanations, but I may, every once in a while! Read the rest of this entry »
