Some thoughts on Supplements

Since I shifted to vegetarianism, I have been more cautious about taking some supplements to augment my diet. I did cut out a major protein source from my options, right? Although I do know that there are a lot of great protein options around, I was finding myself needing more. This is why when I met with my health coach, I asked her to help me with this. She suggested I take some spirulina in order to provide proteins to my diet. I have been taking it for quite some time now and though I don’t know if it’s making much of an impact, I am thinking it is better than waiting for things to not be okay before I take supplements. I still am cautious, however, and will not try something that isn’t medically or therapeutically supported. I mean, although creatine supplements sound interesting, I won’t go and take it because I have no idea about it, right?

Anyway, I don’t really know what to make of supplements yet. For you, is it a yay or a nay?
